Hackers have been busy at work on the Apple iPad.

How busy? Less than a day after its April 3 release, MuscleNerd of the iPhone Dev Team announced a crack for Apple's latest device.

For those who don't know, jailbreaking is a process that allows users to run any program on their devices, instead of just those authorized by Apple. MuscleNerd's hack can be seen here on YouTube. According to reports, it is a spinoff of a jailbreak known as "Spirit" that targeted the iPhone.

While the efforts are sure to win few fans at Apple, they will likely draw applause from those who have already embraced the idea of jailbreaking the iPhone. Meanwhile, Apple said it sold 300,000 iPads on the first day, including 120,000 that were preordered. In addition, more than 1 million iPad apps were downloaded April 3, along with 250,000 ebooks from the iBookstore.
