Sony Taking Crapware Abuse to New Levels

(See update note below)

Sony sells a configure-to-order laptop.

Sony preinstalls crapware (trial software, games, etc.) on that computer.

Sony wants you to pay $49.99 to remove the crapware.

Taking consumer abuse to new levels.

UPDATE: In the face of widespread condemnation on blogs and news sites, Sony has removed the $49.99 fee.

Robert :

That's a great post, although I'm sure it comes as no surprise to anyone. Sony and other manufacturers are using junkware agreements with software vendors to reduce their costs on a computer by $50. Being the greedy corporations they are, they pocket the money and pass on the inconvenience to the consumer.

It nice to know that there is another new Linux based browser set of tricks (Univ of Illinois). Harden all you want, call it secure or not......However, the "SCIENCE" dictates that all S/W is hackable. Therefore, our S/W senses the anomily(s0 in the packet data and simply switches the breech into a dummy server or network stays until they go nowher. All in under a millionth of a second and thus keeps the network up. We even have a "Patent." and clients using our DtX system. I welcome anyone in this blog to contact me for more informations and references.
