Adobe Issues Massive Flash Security Update

In a massive update to Adobe Flash Player, Adobe Systems closed the door on more than two dozen vulnerabilities, including a zero-day exposed last week.

On June 4, Adobe warned users of Adobe Flash 10.0.45.2 and earlier versions of a critical vulnerability spanning Windows, Macs, Linux and Solaris. The authplay.dll component that ships with Adobe Reader and Acrobat 9.x for Windows, Mac and Unix operating systems was also affected. If exploited, an attacker could use it to cause a crash or potentially take control of an affected system.

Today's fix only resolved the problem for Flash. A patch for Adobe Reader and Acrobat is slated to be ready by June 29.
