Calling Security Folks in New York

New York security pros meet-up Tomorrow, Tuesday January 15th, I'll be joining a bunch of security folks for the monthly NYSEC meet-up in New York City.

This is an informal gathering where we meet in a bar downtown (Pound and Pence) for networking and chit-chat about vulnerability research, hacking techniques and other random IT security issues.

I encourage all security professionals in New York to come out around 6:00 PM (come straight from work and help us commandeer a table upstairs) for some quality networking time.

You can also follow my (sometimes) security-themed updates on Twitter.

Hi Ryan,

I saw your note about the security event in New York and thought that you(or others attending) might be interested in checking out a Cybercrime documentary that will be playing in New York on Thursday, 1/24. Here's a link to a preview of the documentary -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5zxOLZ5jXM

The documentary is called "The New Face of Cybercrime" and was shot by Academy Award nominated filmmaker Fred Golding. After the documentary, several industry experts highlighted in the film will also participate in a panel discussion on cybercrime. Let me know if you are interested in attending or would like more info.

Thanks,
Kevin
